3 Must Read Books to Shape Your Ministry in 2013
What are you reading right now? I’d love to hear what is challenging you as you lead in your church. Here are the three books I have on the go right now and how they are shaping my thinking and ministry.
- When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor . . . and Yourself // Steve Corbett & Brian Fikkert — As we sculpt a more intentional engagement with the poor I want to make sure I’m asking the right questions. This book has been helpful in framing the conversation.
- Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation // Luke Williams — What got us here we are won’t get us to where we need to go. This book is a helpful guide for teams looking to encourage thinking in new ways.
- Extreme Productivity: Boost Your Results, Reduce Your Hours // Robert C. Pozen — I have a limited number of hours in a day … more importantly I have limited amount of energy. Pozen is crazy on productivity … I love the stretch that this book is providing.
